I just got a new Yamaha EAD10

The Yamaha EAD10 electronic acoustic drum module is a revolutionary device that is transforming the way drummers record their acoustic drum kits.

I just got mine in the mail and am super keen to set it up and try it out for recording my acoustic drum kit at home, and also for recording drums at live shows. I’m also interested to see how the Yamaha EAD10 will work with with my Shure SE215 drumming in-ear monitors.

It’s a compact and versatile system that is designed to capture the sound of the entire kit, allowing drummers to easily record their performances and share them with the world.

The Yamaha EAD10 is incredibly easy to set up and use. It includes a small sensor that attaches to the bass drum that includes 2 microphones to capture the snare, toms and cymbals, and a drum trigger for the kick drum.

The sensor runs into the module with a dual cable and can be mounted off the hi-hat or other drum stand with a bracket.

The system is also incredibly portable, making it ideal for drummers who need to record on the go or record live performances.

One of the key benefits of the Yamaha EAD10 is its ability to capture the sound of the entire drum kit with just one system. The module contains a high-quality processor that is capable of reproducing the sound of the drums, as well as a range of effects and EQ settings.

This means that drummers can easily create high quality drum recordings without the need for a complex and expensive setup. They can also experiment with different sounds and effects to create their own unique sound.

Another benefit of the Yamaha EAD10 is its versatility. It can be used in a variety of different ways to enhance the recording of an acoustic drum kit.

For example, it can be used to capture the sound of the drums and then mixed with other instruments or tracks in a DAW. This is a great way to add depth and dimension to a recording, and can help to create a more polished drum sound at home which would take a lot more gear in the past.

One of the most exciting features of the Yamaha EAD10 is its ability to trigger electronic drum sounds. This opens up a whole new world of creative possibilities, and allows drummers to create unique and interesting sounds that would be difficult to achieve with an acoustic kit alone.

By using additional external drum triggers, The EAD10 can also be used to trigger MIDI devices, such as synths or drum machines in a DAW, making it a powerful tool for live performance or in the studio.
